HyTI logo/patch

For the HyTI (Hyperspectral Thermal Imager) project at the University of Hawaii, I created a logo/patch that embodies both the scientific and geographical essence of this pioneering mission. The design harmoniously combines elements that symbolize innovation, exploration, and the vibrant spirit of Hawaii.

The logo's central element is the HyTI satellite, depicted with clean, modern lines emphasizing technological advancement and the cutting-edge nature of the research. The Pacific Ocean surrounding the Hawaiian Islands reminds the project of its roots in this unique location. ,

The color palette integrates deep blues, evoking the ocean and space. Small details in the logo hint at the HyTI project's hyperspectral imaging capabilities, subtly conveyed through light colors and line work that suggest a spectrum.

This logo is more than an image—it’s a visual story that celebrates the synergy between science, nature, and innovation. It represents the University’s commitment to advancing space technology while remaining deeply connected to its cultural and environmental heritage.
