Melting Stars
There’s a lot of Crayon Melting Art online, but I was never tempted to try it myself because crayons were never on my list of art supplies. I never liked crayons; I still don’t.
Now that I have a child, I collect a lot of broken crayons, and instead of tossing them out, I decided to give them a try and turn them into broken crayon art.
It was a fun project to do, with my son, with low-cost art supplies.
We just needed a canvas board, black acrylic paint, broken crayons, paper tape, a glue gun, a hairdryer, and the sun.
Step by step guide

4. organize and select the broken crayons
5. glue them on the board (on the silhouette drawing area)
6. melting the crayons with the hairdryer
It’s interesting to see how different crayons are more challenging to melt than others.
At some point, I was so involved with the process that I stopped taking pictures :)
7. Let it dry
8. We used small white crayon pieces for the “stars,” laid them on the canvas board, and let them melt under the sun.
